Dear Football Families,
Strong, full hearts — they never gave up last Saturday night.
As you’ve almost certainly heard from your sons, we’re in the playoffs.
The Broncos play the Westlake Wildcats next Saturday afternoon, October 21st, 1:30pm, at Westlake High School in Thornwood, NY, about 25 minutes away.
Sophomore Logan Glick’s parents, Alexis and Oren, have kindly offered to host the team dinner on Friday night at 6:30pm. They live at 29 Valley Road. Lisa & Alvaro Saralegui are co-hosts for the evening. Hydration duty for the game goes to the Stephens family. Thanks so much to these three families for all their work this play-off week.
There is NO parent party on our schedule this week but players will meet back at the Glick’s for post-game pizza & wings at 6:00pm on Saturday evening.
One note — unless they’re in the hospital as were Scott McGrath and Seamus Watters this last Saturday evening, there’s no excuse for any player to miss this team activity.
If players want to do away with the tradition in the future, speak up; otherwise, best to show up.
One other important note — thanks to Loulie, and Scott McGrath’s grandmother, we have a date for the annual McGrath Dinner. It’s Wednesday, November 8th at the Bronxville Field Club. Time tbd. Dress is coat and tie for all players. BHS’s first quarter ends that day so the timing is pretty perfect. For well over half a century, the McGrath family has supported the Bronxville football team with this annual dinner for players and coaches — it’s a great gift and a date not to be missed. That said, if you know your son will be unable to attend for any reason, please do let Loulie firstname.lastname@example.org
Department of Loose Ends — the team earned $4200, fundraising with gold card sales in August. We’re hoping to defray team expenses in a myriad of ways with this money. Stay tuned.
Meantime and most importantly…GO GO GO BRONCOS.
Jan, Lisa, and Loulie
